Have you managed to get ##### to work with 10.6.7 combo update (so you can boot off the hard drive)? If so please explain how.

Many thanks

Has anyone tried this, it seems simple but you have to alter your bios settings or firmware I think,

and then everything will work

Hi Mike,

To use highspeed consistently you have to turn of legacy usb devices in bios. Unfortunately Zotac screwed up the hand off code in bios.

This means you cannot access usb peripherals until OSX loads - so you have to set up quiet boot in chameleon.

If you need to boot from a usb stick or disk you will have to revert to legacy usb and fullspeed to access the devices in the bootloader menu (if you are in quiet boot mode just keep pressing F8 until menu comes up).

Cheers

Steve

i didn't use ##### but Chameleon RC5 r750.. here a quick how to on what i did, im sure if you browse around you can find similar ways..

- plug my HDZotac to my Mac via USB

- install retail 10.6.3 using OSInstall.mpg method

- download combo 10.6.7 and install to my HDZotac

- install Chameleon RC5 r750 (i went the extra mile and install it in hidden EFI partition)

- drop the kext, extra, dsdt, smbios etc, repair permission and recreate extension.mkext

- plug it in your zotac then boot 32bit -v .. :)

Thanks thanks.... USBLegacyOff in boot.plist did it for me so running highspeed now in BIOS.. i think im all good now aside from minor probs below.. sent you PM BTW.

problems:

- shutdown still doesn't fully work on me, OSX shutdown but fan is still running -so i have to force shutdown using power button..

question:

- what do you guys use for NVCAP and whats best? this thread has 4 version posted (?)

- same for the for the audio HDEF + DSDT? kext?

- Optical out working?

lastly - where did you guys get the processor scope value? speedstep working i presume? will test this when im all done with the minor quirks..

Thanks all in advance.

do i have to plug my HDZotac to a Mac via USB :)

because i dont have a mac?sad.gif

also whats the OSInstall.mpg method, do you have to install it and then install it over again? i typed it in google and its a very vague in discription

all i found was this

(in finder->go->goto folder

/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages

if thats the name of your dvd installer disc

and double click OSInstall.mpkg and install using this util

DO NOT REBOOT after the install is done, you'll have to upload your kext's and bootloader etc.

use ##### method instead because OSInstall.mpg requires a mac/hack..

Hello Community,

I have a zotac nd22 and installed successfully 10.6.7 with the ##### & ##### method :)

Unfortunately Sleep, Restart and Shutdown make trouble, has anybody a system with this features up and running?

Besides that the zotac rocks

Best regards

Thomas
