Hi, I´d also like to have a cable (shipping to Germany). Please PM me.

One question: How can I make sure that I have the correct front panel (Apple 922-5979, 630-4805, 820-1560)? Or has every G5 this certain panel?

Update 06/04/2011

This are the cables Im making:

...and the cable in place:

post-51637-1302273684_thumb.jpgpost-51637-1302273743_thumb.jpg

Are about 70cm long, all-covered with nylon sleeve briding. They have the apple 18 pin connector in one end and standard ATX firewire, audio, USB, power button and led connectors in the other (each connector comes labeled).

Each cable is tested (on my own rig) and comes with printed instructions and, in case your motherboard has no on-board firewire (please tell me), with a ground jumper .

They cost 25€ a piece (flat-rate shipping included). If you want a signed mail with tracking number to avoid losses (I recommend this) it cost 4,50€ extra. Cables are shipped from Spain.

I accept international bank transfer or Paypal.

The sale can be also done through e-bay. I have 100% positive votes

If you are using a firewire PCI card I also can provide an adapter to connect to its internal port (they usually have a standard external firewire socket as internal connector):

If you want one let me know!

IMPORTANT:

The cable is compatible with this front panel board:

(Apple 922-5979, 630-4805, 820-1560. PowerMac G5 Front Panel Board)

Make sure you have a similar one. An easy way to check without taking the board out is to look for the 18 pin connector on the board (black square conector on the right of the picture). This connector is visible without the need to remove the board.

I wil ask you if you have one cable to sell me?
