Easy to update snow leopard from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3

friends..

 

I've update my snow leopard from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3 .. follow below steps

 

1. Download legacy kernel from http://redirectingat.com/?id=292X457&u...wtopic%3D214528

 

2. Install legacy kernel...

3. Download combo update 10.6.3 fromhttp://support.apple.com/kb/DL1017

4. Install combo update ..

5. Reboot and you will be on 10.6.3...

 

My pc specifications is as

 

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E4400

MOTHERBOARD ...ECS 945GCT-M3 Skt 775 Rev 3.1

MEMORY 2G.

LAN CARD ...REALTEK 8139 ( WORKING FINE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM )

SOUND CARD ..Realtek ALC883 ( I USED AZALIA FROM LEOPARD 10.5.8 IDENEB LITE )

GPU....ATI 2400 PCI PRO ... DIDNT WORK....

 

 

AFTER UPDATING MY SNOW LEOPARD IS FAST.. RESTART SHUTDOWN, APPS IS FASTER....

 

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE UPDATING MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SNOW LEOPARD.. IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG YOU CAN RESTORE BACK

Hi,

This can't be right. If you've installed the Legacy Kernel followed by the 10.6.3 update, the vanilla Kernell will overwrite the Legacy one. You must be running on Vanilla Kernel ?
