Was Bill Gates lying when he said he had an operating system that could run IBM's Personal Computer? Sort of. HE didnt have an operating system, but he knew one existed. And he bought it up once he got the contract. It was a risk, but there's no reward without risk. Anyone who believes in sure things doesnt long keep their shirt. Oh, and btw, do you think Apple invented the portable MP3 player? If so, you might wanna do a little research. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_audio_player EDIT: If someone in a windows forum went on about how Apple's constantly stealing Microsoft's innovation, I'd smack them around too. If not for companies stealing from other companies, We'd all be using centralized computers and have TVs that look like they're from the 60's. Apple has done a lot of cool stuff, So has Microsoft, So has Diamond, and IBM and Sun and whomever. EDIT 2: Apple products would appeal to a lot more people, especially their computers, if the culture surrounding them wasnt comprised of such martyrdom. At one point, I almost bought a Mac. But Apple people remind me of scientologists or a scene from Rosemary's baby. If you like Macs, use them. If you like Mercedes', buy one. No one cares.
