rest assured son
I created a post in the GA-EX58-UD5 thread that compiles all my knowledge in the quest for Snow Leopard glory. This is concise (unlike other guides) and gives all the information needed on getting success in your quest. Will use the new info to set up my other two computers.
rest assured son
Thanks for the info .... could have used it last week when I was banging my head against the wall figuring out how to resovle the constant KP's. awulf
That guide worked for me, except I couldn't install the KEXTs to /Extra, had to put them with the system ones. Sleep, Sound, Ethernet, Graphics all work. The hard drives show their proper icons (rather than the yellow USB like ones) and the hidden folders/files are hidden. I have a Gigabyte EX58 DS4 motherboard and a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 275 graphics card. The graphics card works with EFI string method. The extensions I used were: VoodooHDA.kext RealtekR1000.kext Disabler.kext dsmos.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext OpenHaltRestart.kext PlatformUUID.kext Sleepenabler.kext
