motionworks
Hi Guys, I ordered 4 identical Sata disk. Total 4 Tb. And created Raid 10 (0+1) using Leopard Disk Utility. As described below. http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24359 Here is my question; If something goes wrong with Osx and if i need clean install for Osx, Is my Raid setup will be detected automatically after clean installation or all my information will go ? My osx is not installed on Raid. It is on another non raid disk ? Thanks!!!
SStreet
Yes, in the event that your OS install is "lost", the array information is actually written on the drives in the raid. You can witness this bit of goodness by creating the RAID and booting off an OS DVD. I just wish WD would fix/move the connectors on the VelociRaptor drives to be standard like the rest of the 3.5" HDDs. A RAID-10 of those -- awesome.
