Ubuntu 9.04 is out

Currently running Ubuntu 9.04. I love it. It's the only distro I've used that "just works".

 

And I can confirm that the DVD version does not offer anything more than a normal CD version would. Just a slower install. I was always curious about the difference lol :)

 

Btw, I hate OpenSolaris 2008.11. Thought I'd try it. Regretted it after 10 minutes of using it :/

You're running the very first alpha of an OS with absolutely no new features yet?

 

9.10 isn't even out yet.

 

9.04 = 2009/04 (April). 9.10 = 2009/10 (October). They've always followed that naming scheme, the numbers match the year and month in which they were released.

Hey guys, installed it a few days ago on my server... And now screen sharing dosen't work, I have tried load of different "easy" programs, vncafp and such... Anyone got any recommendations... Web based clients???

 

BTW, this is to see the 9.04 screen on my OSX machine...

System, Preferences, Remote desktop.. just like OS X, Ubuntu has a VNC server and client built in.
