I always feel dumb asking simple questions like these, but I downloaded the theme Crystal Clear from interfacelift.com and I thought I installed it.. it asked me to restart my computer and I did, but its the same Leopard theme.. and ideas?

New question below...

If it's a shapeshifter guikit then it's a no go with Leopard I'm afraid.

You can download CrystalClear Interface from Musings from Mars...

http://www.musingsfrommars.org/

I think it's a bit buggy though, but it will theme your mac.

Have fun!

Well.. new problem...

I uninstalled it like 1.9.1 of Crystal Clear suggested, but I'm still left with random theme stuff that pops up. Sometimes my windows turn clear or all the windows do, my Finder buttons are slightly discolored..

Anyone know how to completely remove it back to the Aqua theme?

Thanks in advance for any help

i had the same problem so here's what i did:

Hook up your mac to another mac under Target Disk Mode, navigate to

/System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources

and replace Extras.rsrc and Extras2.rsrc with the ones found in your leopard installation CD

or

replace both the files above with the ones on the other mac which yours is connected to (file in the same directory)

if you wanna be complete, you can replace the whole Resources folder, but in my experience that is not necessary.

i tried doing in just in my finder without booting in target mood and my finder crashed and i could not log in after a reboot, so i would not try that if i were you

hope this helps

you have the coolest signature ever,

get pacifist, mount the leo image, start paifist, choose to use the installdisk, and use either the search function in it or browse it manually, the paths are practically the same then on your installed leo.

and extract the files to a choosen place on your harddisk and replace them youself or easier simply leet pacifist install them where they belong.

i only answerd to comment your signature, it's just what i always think, hardware with links to installation guides is one thing on a board like this but always (whole internet) this showing off infront of people who not even know you, it just don't make sense
