I just fixed mine: you need correct serial in smbios (use champlist). Add ethernet buit in in extra\org.chameleon.boot.plist delete network adapters and library>preferences>system configuration> NetworkInterfaces.plist file reboot open network preference and add first you ethernet card. and disable momentarily little snitch! before you login to icloud Little snitch drove me crasy before I found out

same for me before. when chameleon starts it uses (in my case) hd(1,1) but inside osx the partion becames hd(2,1). I did many trial and errors (have 3hdd) till I had the correct boot, hide and rename partition hd(x,x) (I rename the win7 100MB to win7 instead of system reserved since win boot lays there. as for my bios config I setup winhdd, then chameleon hdd. (Windows bootloader first to keep hybernate). but you have a laptop with one hdd so I don't know if it remains hd(0,x) or becames hd(1,x) inside osx. use -v in cham-boot to check what number it uses there and fdisk in osx to see if its the same. 1640 installer is still alpha and buggy[should read blackosx release post ;p ] (empty chameleon.boot.plist no copy back extensions and if you install it twice (in my case) it just stops creating the extra folder even though the log says it did (elevation prob?). try installing first chameleon rc5 r760, copy the extra folder (just in case) and then without reboot reinstall chameleon 2.1 r1640. Its what I did to get back the new cham files (modules...) hope it helps

Lion and snowleopard boot very well with only fakesmc if i use chameleon rc5 r760. The problem lies before even booting lion. chameleon just don't show its start menu at all. as if my graphic card isn't plugged in. (and don't tell osx that it exists too) I can provide all infos requested like the dumped connectors configuration or else to anyone close to chameleon development to reinstate my card native support like it was before. I just don't know who to approach. <Update! I did, yes also pciroot and all other tries didn.t work. I guess its something that hapened between rev 760 and 828. maybe the kabyl ati init or something else...

I have an asus eah5770 CUcore (pciexpress ati r5770 1go) graphic card which was natively supported by osx without any injection or kext (had graphic enabler yes). I recently tried updating my osx10.6.6 to lion 10.7.1 and found out that all versions after rc5 r760 don't even show their menu on my screen even if I plug in at the same time all the video outputs to my monitors. (used official rc5 installers and 2.1 svn installers)(tried r828 installer then up to 2.1 svn 1630 other branches too like chimera...) now as soon as the boot starts up, my screen goes to blank. can't even see what i type. and osx doesn't finish the boot( used old version in 10.6.6 and 10.7.1 and enabled vnc) as soon as I use a recent version even 10.6.6 stops working. thank god Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r760 makes lion work but I can't then upgrade like other mac enthusiast I now use Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r760 with lion 10.7.1 with my 5770 without any injection or kext like in 10.6.6. there is one difference though is that I don't need to use the kvm switch and plug both dvi and vga output. now in lion it works just like in windows7 without a hitch natively. of course opencl and opengl works natively like in 10.6.6. I tried all possible chameleon parameter related to graphic card (efi injection, on off, vanilla/original bios, ati ports ....) chameleon svn or rc5 760+ just don't boot my external graphic card. I even enable or disable my custom dsdt without any success (DSDT have all beside the pci0 peg... ati card's dsdt couldn't edit others safely and make one). I have the connectors info and my Graphic card bios and extracted my efi graphic string if anyone can help (T_T). I am lost I even found that my graphic card can be used to upgrade original macs natively Thanks to anyone that can help Hackintosh specs: CPU: intel core 2 duo e6600 at 2400mhz (chameleon shows it in osx lion as core 2 solo even smbios cpu type edit or cpu=2 in chameleon don't help?! (was good in snow)). Hi im very happy that the motherboard I have can run osx :-) can you please help me my computer is nearly the same as yours: Asus P5G41-M LE CPU Intel Pentium Dual Core e-6600 2.4 ghz Asus Ati 5770 1Go Video card kingston DDR 800 mem 2 gig Seagate sata hd dr 120gigs I tried many version of OSX distros but all hangs with this message: using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers... something with ACPI I use the latest Motherboard bios with S3 and acpi2 enabled and sata enhanced mode. can you please tell me what bios version you use and what settings. and if possible a link to the kexts and dsdt for the chameleon extra folder. please \\\\\\\\\\\\\UPDATE///////////// nervermind i got it running without anything! I have the latest bios 506 that I modded to add slic2.1(Win7) to it + dsdt no alias patch (here without alias patch and just slic2.1 patch). But Iam fairly convinced It works with the default asus bios. Just DONT set acpi to 'S3'!!! I used in bios Sata enhanced mode(my ide and sata drive works) Enabled everything for the cpu (even speedstep) used Peg/PCI for graphic card, pci memroy realocation disabled, igp memory disabled, and shared memory to 128mo(no disabled available). usb legacy and 2.0 enabled parallel port disabled serial port disabled acpi auto, acpi 2.0 enabled, and the other acpi option enabled too. fan control to silent(my preference) plug and play os set to yes Ill add more option if I missed some since I wrote this from memory Got the iAKOS s3 v2 working Got the Original snow 10.6.2 retail dvd on usb + myHack(added ioata kext in config but may be extra) working.
