naf456
i have a Gigabyte, ga-m61pme-s2 mobo, which has MCP61/nForce 430 chipset, so i was wondering if there was a driver for it so i can get 10.6 working. i already have it working on 10.5.5 but i doesn't have any driver for it for some reason? macwayback
Did you see this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t125686.html I have the same mobo with a Sempron 140 (like a single core x2 phenom 250) and can't get beyond the "Verifying DMI Pool data...." when trying to boot. very frustrating. I am using the teknojunkie methodology (modbin7, chameleon rc2, etc) and tried several others, iDeneb, iAtkos, and a couple of others off of torrent sites. What methodology did you use? I have a GA-M61SME-S2 that I've installed 10.6.3 onto successfully. I used the Hazzard 10.6.1-10.6.2 installer and then upgraded using the 10.6.3 Combo Update combined with the 10.6.3 AMD/Intel Legacy Kernel. It's not been easy. For the optical drive I've found that it MUST be set to "Master" rather than Cable Select or Slave under OS X. Also, I can't seem to get the PCI slots working, although a PCIe video card works. It appears the lack of an RTC fix is a problem perhaps? I'm not really using this, I've just recently installed and upgraded it, and I'm struggling with getting a network connection up. I had to work some to get the onboard ethernet working, now I'm working on wireless. Everything seems to work other than the PCI slots, which is what I'm working on now when I found your posting. I have the same Motherboard the (GA-M61SME-S2), as well as the same Mac OS X Distro (Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 by Hazard) . I wanted to know what BIOS settings do you have pre-configured on the Motherboard, as well what presets do you have selected on the Configuration section of the installation. Thanks allot for your Help in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/207547-mcp61-for-snow-leopard/#findComment-1492275 Share on other sites
