oline
Hi Guys, Does anyone know where I can get a "Cardbus driver" for my Intel Macpro (OS 10.5.2) to recognize my SIIG PCMCIA 32bit card (PCI to PCMCIA pci104c,ac56), it's mounted in an external PCIe to PCI expansion case. I've trolled for days with no luck to date. any help/advice out there.?? Or Can I write a driver for this myself,? anyone? Cheers Tom K
munky
what exactly is an Intel Mac Pro G5? you could mean one of three things: 1) A PowerMac G5 (which does not use Intel) 2) A Mac Pro (which does use intel, but not a G5, which is a powerpc chip) 3) A hackintosh (which does use intel, but not a G5, which is a powerpc chip). as for can you write the driver yourself.... well, CAN you write the driver yourself? surely you're the only person who can answer that question! oline
Hello Munky, I'm Sorry My description was not accurate, Many days reading forums ect prior to posting , Mac Pro, Two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors (8-core) OS Leopard 10.5.2 Apple site- http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebO.../family/mac_pro This SIIG PCI to PCMCIA card ( JJPC1M12-S1 ) functions Correctly in the expansion case when booting up on Windows XPSP3,it reads PC cards no problems, But, when booting up on Leopard 10.5.2 the System profiler says the Cardbus Bridge "driver" is not installed. I have installed this same card into my Mac Dual 1.25 running OS Tiger 10.3.8 in to a PCI slot and it works OK. Leopard seems the issue. Is there a possible solution out there ?.
