Roliasis
Hi. I've just installed Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2, everything works fine except internet... My hardware: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz Asus P5N-D (nForce 750i Chipset & nVidia Gigabyte ethernet) GeForce 8800GT SATA HDD PATA DVD-RM I've got cable modem that's connected to my PC through Ethernet Cable. When i run Safari it's saying that it haven't found the server and i am not connected to internet. I tried running System Preferences and refreshing DHCP lease, resetting modem didn't do nothing. I got installed forcedeath drivers. What can i do to browse internet on my OSX. Greets PS: Sorry for my english, i'm still learning

Greets PS: Sorry for my english, i'm still learning If you have an nForce chipset MOBO like your MOBO with the nForce 570 SLI Chipset then your on-board LAN will not work properly under OS X....Get hold of a Realtek chipset based PCI Netwok Card i.e. RTL8168, RTL8111, RTL8169, RTL8101 chipset card....check card specs before buying....depending on the card used it may just work out of the box with the already installed drivers in OS X... See http://sourceforge.net/projects/realtekr1000/ for the R1000, which is an opensource driver for network controllers RTL8168, RTL8111, RTL8169, RTL8101 and some others modification for Mac OSX. It is based on Realtek's driver for Linux but is not supported by Realtek. Also see http://www.psystar.com/realtek_r1000_driver.html Psystar have released a modded driver based on R1000 claimed by them to enhance the interrupt handling and link detection for these NICS: RTL8168, RTL8111, RTL8169, RTL8101. Other options are from here.... + Linksys WUSB54GC (reported OK) there are official drivers for this + Netgear WG111V3 wireless card (Mysticus C*'s suggestion) (there are official drivers for this) + Apple USB to Ethernet (reported OK) works OTB
ruslan120
What worked for me might not work for everyone; digging in piles of old, crappy hardware, and finding settling for 108 megabits instead of awesome, onboard gigabit. I found a card with a realtek 8139d chipset and that did the trick.
eno
There is also a new driver nForceLAN.kext which supports this hardware (in most cases). The driver can be found here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showforum=
ruslan120
hmmm.. are you talking about the nforce4 driver?
eno
hmmm.. are you talking about the nforce4 driver? Nope. The nForce4 driver only supports devices older than the CK804. I was referring to my driver (nForceLAN).
ruslan120
ah yes, I read up on that. Finally, a solution! I'll try it out if my ethernet acts up again; after installing iatkos v2i and messing with it, and re-installing kalyway 10.5.2, my ethernet seems to work pretty well (8139d pci card). Earlier it just stopped working.
ruslan120
I tried the driver; it immediately gave me a freeze (not a kernel panic). Rebooted, thirty seconds in another freeze. Booted into single user mode, removed, and all is fine.
OrgCyberDemon
Hi. All I'm New to this board. I've been working with clones for along time I really would like to give this a shot. I've been trying to install Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2, every time I try it hangs up, I have done any kernel patches or anything, I think this is my problem. What kernel do I need in order to install on a Asus P5N-D motherboard, Intel Core 2 duo E8500 Nvidia 9800GX2 4 Gigs of ram, SATA Hard drive PATA CDROM Drive. What drivers will I need for this setup. Should all my hardware work
OrgCyberDemon
Alright I corrected my previous Issues Simply by changing my CDROM Drive to Eide 0 Channel 0 Master, before it was set to slave on Eide channel 0. So now I can complete the install of Ideneb, although once I complete the Install it goes into a boot loop instead of going into the OS.
