So i'm trying to follow Maxxuss' instructions from installing 10.4.4 from an already existing 10.4.3 and I'm having some trouble with them.

My CPU doesn't have SSE3, so I'm at the step where he states :

If your CPU has no SSE3 support, make sure you copy the patched boot loader files to your "/usr/standalone/i386" folder on your running 10.4.3 system...This has to be done before you create and format the 10.4.4 target volume!"

Does this mean copy the contents of my /usr/standalone/i386 from my 10.4.3 to the ./usr/standalone/i368 folder on the install disk and then remove the boot.efi?

How do I do that?

When I mount the .dmg file, it mounts it as read only, so when i try to remove the boot.efi, or copy over the other files, if gives a read-only error. When I try to mount the dmg as readwrite (hdiutl attach img.dmg -readwrite) it says "Operation not permitted".

I've gotta be missing something...

What I did, is go to Disk Utility, and select the dmg file (in the left panel). Then click on image at the top, and make an image of it => Choose where to save it ==> Don't forget to select read/write too! ;)
