My Dell Inspiron 1520 gets stuck trying to boot the install DVD.

This is the last thing I see with every kernel option (Kalyway 10.5.2 and Leo4Allv2 10.5.2)

-------------------------

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23

[]

---------------------------------------------

uses GM 965, nVidia 8600M, Core2Duo, 4GB RAM.

iATKOSv2 10.5.1 boots up but it's only 10.5.1

Anyone have any suggestions?

EDIT:

I'm going to try to install iATKOS, and then use Kalyway's 10.5.2 combo updater as suggested by GimmeRed, but it'd be nice to be able to install 10.5.2 without upgrading from 10.5.1.

If anyone else got around this somehow, their advice would be appreciated.

Hey.

Download iPC 10.5.6. and boot with F8 and then type -s and then type exit.

I have the same laptop and it works for me

have fun

i haz figured it out!!! and i wrote a guide on it as i went along!!

1. Download and burn disk for Leo4Allv2

2. Turn on laptop(without disk in) and hold F2

3. Turn the disk mode to AHCI

4. Turn the boot mode from minimal to the middle option

5. make the cd/dvd drive the primary boot drive

6. Exit and save

7. Put in disk and turn on

8. Press F8 when asked about boot options

9. type in "-s -v"

10. lots of text will go by, and it will ask if you would like to boot up(exit) or something else.

11. type in "exit" and press enter

12. wait some more, and you should get to the install screen!!

13. select language, and DONT INSTALL!!!!

go to the top of the screen and click utilities>disk utility

14. Click on your hard drive and click on the erase tab

15. Set your drive to Mac OS Extended(journaled)

16.Click erase, and wait

17, once its done erasing, exit out of disk utility, and it should take you back to the installer screen

18. Continue on with the instalation and you should be ready to go!!

try iATKOSv2 10.5.7 - worked for me with everything except wifi and restarting pc.... in bios set to ahci and cashe enabled... if that not works try to disable and enable cashe again (restart after each set).

boot cd with: mach_970 -v in customise pick wodoo HDA and apple ps2 + some custom drivers...nvinject, graphic update... but just 1 from each.

after install boot with: -v -f (just for 1st boot)

i have got inspiron 1520, t7500, 4GB ram, 8600gt, 4965agn... but i have bought dell 1390 wifi (still waiting for delivery, ebay just 8euro:o)) should be everything works :angel_not:

i also tried install retail leopard and leopard snow, but graphic card, wifi is not working and audio only in snow.
