Hey all. I've been running Leo for a while now, via iAtkos 10.5.2. I was wondering if it's possible to hook up a SATA2 drive, for like backup and file storage and stuff. I don't have an external HD (don't want one), and I'm sick of using my iPod for storage on Windows and OS X, as it takes up all my space for music =P.

I have a blanked 200GB maxtor, about a year old, that I want to use. How should I format it? I wanted to partition half for Mac, half for Windows. Can I do this via disk utility? Right now it is just a 200GB NTFS space.

If I assume correctly, I should blank the disk in vista (make all 200GB unallocated), then keep it plugged into SATA2, boot into Leo, and then add a partition in Leo? What partition type would I use also?

Any help is awesome.

Blank the disk in Vista, create a 100G NTFS partition and format it. Then crearte a second (Primary not extended) partition in Vista, do not select partitoin type, do not format.

Leave it connected to SATA, and boot up OSX86. Leo should mount the NTFS Partition as read-only automaticazlly. Fire up Diskutility and format the second partition as Journalled HFS+. Once done reboot. You should now have a Readonly NTFS partiton mounted and a read-write HFS+ partition also mounted
