adro
dear all, i am kinda desperate, that's my first post after hours and hours spent looking invane for some help. i have installed leo 10.5.2 kalyway on my pc, that is: asus p5kc mobo intel core duo e6750 ram 2gb ddr2 800 150 gb sata HD pioneer sata dvd drive ati radeon hd2600 512mb pciExpress well...in my first custom installation i think i checked too much options about drivers, leo booted just once and then returned me an error just like "b0 error". ok...i run into another installation in which i only checked boot_efi_mbr, soundcard drivers, video drivers. during installation i formatted the whole drive as mbr. ok,,,installation reached the end, systems rebooted and splashed into the gray screen where i just could see the apple in the center. there is a small round prelaoder that stops going after some spins. suddenly a "voice over" starts speaking , it tells about helping users with apple keyboards (not that sure, i am italian and cannot understand that english very well). I tried any shrtcut but there was nothing to do, the system stucks there and cannot go further. please help !!! i dont know waht to do.... adro
any help??? i just wanted to specify that: - first time i installed leo with the new sata dvd drive i was able to successfully boot into leo but after the first reboot, leo didnt start without the dvd inserted (returned me a "b0 error before loading the bootloader) -as it was the first installation (i did about 20 so far!!) i dont remember exactly which settings i used during installation. -during the first installation i could enter information about creating a mac account, setting internet connection etc etc; after that it booted into real osx. please help guys... thanks daniele Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/98352-installing-kalywaysystem-stucks-during-voice-over-helppp/#findComment-703556 Share on other sites
Coadey
It sounds like you want to go back and do an install like your first install, then fix your b0 error: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/B0_error Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/98352-installing-kalywaysystem-stucks-during-voice-over-helppp/#findComment-704058 Share on other sites

Gujal
Your machine has a combination of ICH9 + Jmicron Make sure that SATA DVD is plugged into SATA1 (There should be four) of ICH9 and your Harddisk is plugged into SATA2. In BIOS, make sure that 1. Both Jmicron and ICH9 SATA are set to AHCI mode (not IDE or RAID) 2. Disable Onboard LAN (It is not supported) 3. BIOS-EHCI Handoff Enabled 4. CPU Execute Disable Bit Enabled 5. C1E support Enabled 6. Vanderpool Technology Enabled (VMWare Fusion needs this) 7. ACPI Version Enabled 8. ACPI APIC Support Enabled Your Audio and Video require special packages (ALC883 and NATIT). Select them during install. As your Built in LAN is not supported, you need to get a PCI Ethernet card. Get any card based on Realtek Ethernet Chipset. They work natively without requiring additional kexts Give it a try with Leo4all v2 DVD or Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD (not 10.5.1) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/98352-installing-kalywaysystem-stucks-during-voice-over-helppp/#findComment-705657 Share on other sites
