prazvt
Well that's my question. I'm using Leopard 10.5.2 with Darwin 9.2.2 kernel and all updates are installed except the aforementioned. My 8800GTS 320mb works fine using the NV drivers that are mentioned on here. Is the graphics update simply a driver update? If any of you are p35/8800Gxx owners who've installed the graphics update without issue, could you share your experiences? I think the last time I installed it, (ie. the first time I tried installing os x) leopard went a little haywire. I installed differently the second time (iATKOS r3, etc.) so I'm not sure if it would work or not. Anyway thanks! Gujal
The NVDriver pkg basically ripped out the 88xx drivers from the 10.5.2Beta and was packaged to use in 10.5.1. When 10.5.2 was released to users, Apple did not include the drivers and made a separate Graphics update with the drivers. You can continue to run with the installed NVDriver pkg or if you want Apple released final drivers, install the leopard graphics update as long as you are running PC-EFI Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/98221-abit-ip35-pro-is-it-safe-necessary-to-install-leopard-graphics-update-10/#findComment-703274 Share on other sites
