SomeAznPunk Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 I've been wanting to install OSX on my laptop for a while but since I don't have access to a DVD burner, I haven't been able to. Then, I was told that it was possible to install off of an External Harddrive by extracting the contents. I downloaded the Kalyway 10.5.1 iso but I can't seem to extract it. I tried Winrar first, but it only extracted a few files. I opened the iso in MagicISO, it many of the files on the iso were hidden. I tried extracting using MagicISO, but it kept giving me errors saying stuff like "Folder cannot be created." Is there some special way to extract the files? Thanks. I've no experience in the past 4-5 years doing this using Windows, but the basic theory is in this thread if you can find a machine with OS X on it.
