SomeAznPunk
I've been wanting to install OSX on my laptop for a while but since I don't have access to a DVD burner, I haven't been able to. Then, I was told that it was possible to install off of an External Harddrive by extracting the contents. I downloaded the Kalyway 10.5.1 iso but I can't seem to extract it. I tried Winrar first, but it only extracted a few files. I opened the iso in MagicISO, it many of the files on the iso were hidden. I tried extracting using MagicISO, but it kept giving me errors saying stuff like "Folder cannot be created." Is there some special way to extract the files? Thanks. SomeAznPunk
No, I don't have OSX installed. I have Vista and Ubuntu.
Quackit
Not sure what you'd use then. I've no experience in the past 4-5 years doing this using Windows, but the basic theory is in this thread if you can find a machine with OS X on it.
SomeAznPunk
Ok, I have plenty of friends with Macs so I'll give it a try. Thanks.
