HotShot
I don't have a DVD drive in my computer, so I can't install from a DVD. (Obviously.) Can I use one of the very convienient DVD images floating around, install it in VMware, then use dd to transplant it from the virtual machine to my real machine? Or even better, could use VMware's ability to write directly to a partition to get osx86 into a partition without using dd at all. Sounds like it would work, provided I could get it running in VMware. Would there be unforseen complications? Has anyone tried with success or failure?
