I had my mac os running perfectly on hp pavilion dv9600 until today somethig happened to my com.apple.Boot.plist durring startup it says, that it dosent exist. so what should i do? delete it, copy it from some one? right now it looks like this. maybe someone could show their content, and i could copy it. i really dont want to reinstall my whole macos. it looks now right this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> </dict> </plist> now booted on ubuntu live cd so i can acces all files. help please. Gujal Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 The file by itself is fine, looks like the you changed the HDD mode from AHCI to IDE or something like that, which is causing the kernel to report that it cannot read the Harddisk.
