Hello Everyone,

I recently posted that I was getting the '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found error after installing Kalyway's 10.5.1 dvd. I later found a post that gave some commands to run through the terminal. Something about making the partition active, I dont quite totally understand.

Anyway, I ahve gotten past that error, and the system looks like it is going to start up, but I get to a screen that tells me "you need to restart your computer", and I cannot get past it. The first time I thought it was normal but its stuck in a loop and will not get past it. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so how were you able to get past it? Thanks in advance,

PJ

Probably your machine is not compatible with Vanilla Kernel or you are running the wrong distribution like running a Intel Distribution on AMD machine

brazilmac, kaliway - Intel Only

Zephyroth - AMD only

Leo4All - Intel and AMD

Which distro did you use?

Thank you for the reply. I used the Kalyway 10.5.1 disc, and my system specs are as follows. I thought everything I had was on the HCL. I found one other post that seems similar to my issue that said to try something in the BIOS, so I am about to try that. Hopefully it will work. I' d appreciate any other suggestions though. Thank you
