Windows RG Posted March 28, 2008 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Well i'd have to say its been a while for those who know me. i ditched os x86 back around 10.4.9 cause i got thsi new laptop for games and things like that. So its just about perfect in compatability terms (Gateway P-6831FX) except for sound whch is an IDT codec, not sure which one probrably the one thats in the ECS board on Frys that people have problems with. I chose Leo4All version 2 and i want to know if there are any kexts for this. if it doesnt play through the built in speakers i wont use it , ill go about making my own but thats a whole new task scince they got a lot more complicated lately XD. shane.reid Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 I'm new to the scene, but I just installed Leo4allv2 on the exact same laptop. Issues: Sound does not work - I've read nothing regarding anyone having it working ATM Wireless does not work - to be expected, just won a Dell card on ebay Webcam - initializes but box shows up green, no big deal. I'm playing WoW on this and just using sound via the headset as well as Vent. Same as I do in windows, so the speakers are a small loss to me.
