*** EDIT *RESOLVED* See my second post ***

Hi guys

I've searched hi and lo and can't find an answer. Hence the post.

Upon launching the FCP studio 2 installer I immediately get the following

error

ALERT

• Final Cut Studio Installer recommends that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card.

• Final Cut Studio Installer recommends that your system have 64 MB of VRAM; this system has only 0 MB of VRAM.

My only option is to close the install and walk away shamefully. :wallbash:

Any help would be greatly appreciated as FCP is critical to my little experiment.

Thanks in advance.

I'm running Leopard 10.5.1

My GFX info is as follows (Note the 768MB of VRAM listed):

Graphics by NVIDIA:

Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 768 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0191

Revision ID: 0x00a2

ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.1

Hi!

I had the same problem.

I think you didn't select the drivers while customizing your Leopard installation that's why the message VRam 0

& secondly

Your video card unfortunately doesn't seem to have Quartz Extreme support(FCP needs it to install)

Run the installation again & check out with Nvidia about the Quartz support

Bye
