even Sandsmark
i am not into hardware so this might be a dumb question I have an older G4 AGP with a cinema screen and i would like to use the screen on my osx86 machine is there any difference in the AGP slot between these? or can i just pop it in and start smiling? i know that osx comes with drivers, so i assume that i would be able to get the native resolution!!!!?????? regards Even Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9609-can-i-use-ati-rage-128-pro-from-a-g4-in-a-pc-with-osx/ Share on other sites
ced1610
i don't think that this is possible, in fact the problem comes with the bios dependancies. your agp graphic board is packaged with mac that have an OpenFirmware to control the componants inside the mac (like agp bus, usb bus and all other stuffs...) witch is not compatible with bios inside PCs. there is only one possibility :you could put it in your pc if before you have applied a firmware update via the Mac, inside the AGP ATI card... if there is a firmware update available for your agp board... hope you will do it without problems.
