djeug
Hey guys, I'm new here. I just custom built myself a PC, here are my specs: AMD 3200+ (overclocked to 2.5Ghz) 1GB DDR400 RAM Biostar nForce 410 Motherboard Samsung 160GB SATA2 Hard Drive Radeon x800GT I have all of the requiered dvds to install OS X and installed it successfully in vmware, however, when I try to boot from my Jas patched 10.4.3 DVD and install it natively, when it gets to the choose your destination screen, and I go into Disk Utility, it cannot find my hard drive. This is probably because I have a SATA HD, my question is, is there any possible way to install OSX natively with my current setup, maybe somehow through vmware? Anyone install OSX on an SATA with nForce chipsets? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9593-install-1043-1044-serial-ata/ Share on other sites
technolion
Since 10.4.3 / 10.4.4 does not support the Nforce 4 SATA controller you cannot access such a drive from Mac OS X. Get a cheap 40 GB IDE drive from eBay and try your luck. Its better for dual-booting anyways, because you can (most probably) use the BIOS boot chooser to select which drive to boot from.
