Thanks SpeedfreaK, but there is no reboot at the end of the installation.

 

The laptop came with 2 DVD, both are used to install Mac OS X Leopard and there is only one automatic reboot before inserting the second DVD. At the end, I must simply click on "Continue" to eject the DVD then the "Welcome" animation comes directly followed by the "Set Your Location" question...

 

Do I shutdown at that point? How do I do it... by pushing the button for x seconds or with a keys combination?

Just hold down the power button and when you restart it will start at that point again. (In theory)

2 dvd for leo? i thougt that when i installed leopard that after the installation my imac rebooted (like when you install tiger).

 

how does the laptop goes from the os installer (which is not full os x) to your just installed leopard?

 

is that second dvd a dvd with extras? and does the laptop rebootes after the first dvd and then bootes os x and then installs the extras? it's probably that
