it did not help me...can you tell me what you selected when you installed kalyway

I replaced the Powermanagement.bundle and it never worked so I replaced the AppleACIPlatform.kext repaired and booted with -v -f . When it restarted I had a battery display OK but no keyboard.

I had to use Macdrive in windows to replace the kext.

This is on an Inspiron 1720.

I do know it all will work because I have had it all working before a reinstall.

how do you even get it to work with kalyway 10.5.1 or .2..ive never had it

Actually I started with iATKOS v2 and used the Kalyway combo update and the Kalyway mach_kernel. If I remember right I tryed the speedstep 9.2 kernel and got the Battery meter to work. Next I ran the Mac updates and went to the 9.2.2 kernel and it was still working fine.

Right now I'm getting a kernel panic unless I boot with -v -f. I might reinstall and try to backtrack my original steps.

i replaced the whole thing and it has not worked..can you tell me how you installed kalyway originally

This is where I got my fix. It gives instructions on how to patch the info.plist if you have the kalyway AppleACPIPlatform. I was going to change it but with the speedstep 9.2 kernel it started working without changing it.

After that I ran all the Apple updates but the graphic update and now have the Darwin 9.2.2 kernel with the Battery meter working on my inspiron 1720.
