jefric Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 Newbie trying to install Kalyway 10.5 on Sony VGN-SZ670N I am trying to get my Sony VGN-SZ670N laptop to work with Kalyway 10.5.1. The base install works fine, but as noted on many of the internet blogs, I have encountered a number of difficulties enabling many of internal peripherals: - the internal network adapter, Marvel Yukon 88E8055 pci is completely unrecognized. - the internal WiFi adapter, Intel WiFi 4965AGN is completely unrecognized - the internal wound adapter, SigmaTel HD Audio Codec, is recognized as an Intel HD Audio, and while I get the speaker volume control icon to the left of the time on the desktop, no audio can be heard. Fortunately I have networking with the help of a QuickerTek nUSB, but would like to resolve these issues. Any help, suggestions, or references are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sony seems to use bleeding edge technology (for builtin ethernet, wireless and audio) which many seem to be struggling with.
