El Barto
I have tried two different installs right now on my eee pc and have gotten two different problems that occured before the install even began. First with the "Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso" I start with the boot: -v -x and it starts to load the setup files then I get an error: SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = 0x02, ASCQ = 0x00 (This repeats about 4 times) then disk1s3: I/O error. then it repeats the SAM error again about 3 times and hangs. With the "Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard [ToH]-RC2 SSE3/SSE2 Intel Only" It loads all the way to the GUI, I get past the Language selection (very slowly) then i get an error saying OS X can't be installed on this system. It then goes back to the blank installer menu. Any help?

El Barto
Not a ram issue. Can anyone tell me what all this means: SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = 0x02, ASCQ = 0x00 I keep getting a bunch of those errors and then it stops itself by doing Halting all processes CPU Shutdown ??? EEE 900, lucky you. Why would it damage the SSD? Have you tried the XXXX 10.4.11?
mcdull
EEE 900, lucky you. Why would it damage the SSD?Have you tried the XXXX 10.4.11? The SSD has limited read/write cycle and most important is that it cannot be replaced like harddrive. Installing Tiger on it is a no go.. The Tiger boot up with Jas 10.4.8 but you will never have wifi support on EeePC 900. It uses AR5007EG chips and no support on MACOS yet. Moreover, the ethernet chip used is L2 and no OSX driver as well.. Do you want a EEEPC running OSX without network support?
le jeune bidouilleur
I tought about that before, but they are some wifi dongles that are compatibles.
