Skyper
Sorry for posting in wrong section but i wanted to make sure that SATA to IDE adapter im about to buy will work and leopard will recognise my HD? Btw leopard recognised my old IDE drive so i was wondering if i buy an adapter it will recognise this SATA aswell? Oh and one more thing is it going to work with any SATA no matter what? Heres the link - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...DS%252BI%252BSS PS - My current HD which i want to convert to IDE is Seagate 160GB SATA. Thanks very much. dakine
Thanks for your replys guys but i bought a new New Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 Ultra ATA IDE 40GB Hard Drive Hope not to have any problems. Thanks again I have several IDE Hard Drives that were running off of an IDE add-on adapter card. The adapter card with 4 ide ports would not work with OS X, so I decided to get a couple those adapters so that I could still use my old IDE drives hooked up using the SATA ports on my PC and everything worked ok. The only thing that doubt me was that if it was going to work. So therefore i knew already that Leo recognises only my old IDE on which i installed Leo and runned smoothly. The only reason to buy a new IDE was thatmy old Samsung was making TOO much noise. Thank you Alex My IDE drives show up as SATA internal drives, as shown by the pic. The 2 Maxtor drives are IDE drives hooked up to the IDE to SATA dongle Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94773-sata-to-ide-adapter/#findComment-676030 Share on other sites
