Hello to everybody

fist thing i like to say is, congratulation to this wounder/powerful pool of information!

thx to all people who make this possible!!!! maximum respect...

I've read so many theads the last 2 weeks, but now i reach the point where i have to ask and i hope somebody can help me...

Dell Inspiron 8200

intel Pentium sse2

bios SpeedStep>> disabled

i used

KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1 intel_SSE2_SSE3.iso

iATKOS_v1.0i_R2.iso

can't boot these dvd's i have seen the darwin is loading screen it loads some .kext and after maybe 30sec reboot.. (btw the iatkos loads to the grey screen with the apple logo)

i've tried many options like -v -x -f -s nothing really helped...

i tried the

Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1].iso (i spend 2 days for downloading it of the pirate bay with a 26000Mbit line)

i can install it without any switches (-v -x -f -s otherwise i get installation errors)

so the installation is complete but when it's time to reboot i get the black blinking cursor screen... i thought my partition is not active checked everything with

diskutil list

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (disk0 iss my HDD)

p

f 1 (my partition)

write

y

exit

but the same thing black screen blinking cursor.... any ideas ?

thx in advance and greetz from germany

nobody any ideas ? :)

did you managed to install 10.4.8? I could only get 10.4.7 to work... but there are several people that state having a 10.4.8 system working on a Inspiron 8200. I only get kernel panics after installation on 10.4.8 :D

so the installation is complete but when it's time to reboot i get the black blinking cursor screen...

This is usually indicative of a missing/erroneous boot loader.

Be sure to install the Darwin bootloader at install... or you can search for some post-install boot loader installation instructions.
