eugenemacmahon
Well, Sounds like your 99% there. Download a small .iso called gparted live cd and set your partition flag to active in it. I think that will sort your problem. jjduro
nobody any ideas ? did you managed to install 10.4.8? I could only get 10.4.7 to work... but there are several people that state having a 10.4.8 system working on a Inspiron 8200. I only get kernel panics after installation on 10.4.8 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94742-dell-inspiron-8200-problems-during-installation-1051-and-1048/#findComment-736246 Share on other sites
inimicus
so the installation is complete but when it's time to reboot i get the black blinking cursor screen... This is usually indicative of a missing/erroneous boot loader. Be sure to install the Darwin bootloader at install... or you can search for some post-install boot loader installation instructions.
