Intelslacker
I noticed that some people fixed their problems with the wireless cards, I was wondering if I could get some help too. My laptop is an HP ZD8230us Media Center - Broadcom 54g PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4320&SUBSYS_12F8103C&REV_03\4&5A988DE&0&18F0 Thanks for the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9464-hp-zd8230us-broadcom-wireless-not-working/ Share on other sites
Metrogirl
That one does work, I can confirm it. There are so many references to it in the forum I'm not even going to start trying on this one - please use the search option! Edit - sorry, I see this is your first visit here. Maybe someone can offer you more help, but the info is out there if you can't wait. Hi, I did a search for ZD8000 (the series my laptop is from) and found this topic: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...=2626&hl=zd8000 "Im running OSX86 on my HP Pavilion zd8124ea (zd8000 series) Everything is working, even the onboard Wireless I got working with the hacked Airport Kext (Broadcom based) the only thing that isnt working 100% is the Video which is not acclerated, when you first play a sound it makes a crackling sound but that goes away. Next thing is getting the Video working to it's full potential *waits for Video drivers to be released*" However, I did not find that airport2.kext file that is mentioned by him... Maybe someone can help me out on that one? That's why I started the thread, cause I did not find it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9464-hp-zd8230us-broadcom-wireless-not-working/#findComment-59121 Share on other sites
rmriggin
I used the JaS 10.4.6 and enabled the wireless card patch and my zd8205 worked first boot. kankraka
hmm, good to know my dv8210ca will most likely at least work well based on what others are seeing with similar machines... so long as i can find the kext for the wireless card. too bad the video isn't accelerated though, that's a major downfall :\.
