Hello,

Here is what to try to do first:

1. Start up from your Mac OS X install CD, and Click Utilities > Disk Utility. Repair Disk Permissions and click "Repair Disk". Then Shutdown or whatever and see if the computer boots up.

2. If it doesn't, you may need to reinstall Mac OS X.

If you need any help, post here. I'm glad to help you.

And don't be fooled about installing Mac Os X. Doesn't mean having to save your files elsewhere then wipe your whole comp and reinstall. You can just reinstall the system which takes about 30 mins.

That is indeed correct. I've done it before; A PowerBook G4 of mine crashed and a new harddrive was put in, and I installed fine.

Nothings happening. First thing is that it stays at the white screen with the grey apple logo in the middle with the little wheel thing going forever. So it doesn't even boot up to the main screen or the log in screen. I can do absolutely nothing with it.

PS I'm going to the apple store and get an appointment with the geniuses. So I hope they fix it
