t0pcat Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I installed 10.4.4 on a ide drive everything worked well so i decided to put it on a sata drive, but the sata drive hanges on the loader before showing anything at all. it simply shows a flashing "_" if i boot from the ide and manually put in rd=disk0s1 it loads the sata 8\ Any one got any ideas please? Z3RatuL Posted May 14, 2006 Share Posted May 14, 2006 I also have the same problem with 10.4.4. I've installed it at an IDE hard disk with 2 sata drives for my windows system. Installation went smooth but after that when I try to boot the system it hangs at the screen with the "_" sign. Here's what I mean: I didn't had this problem with 10.4.3 though. So it's kinda strange.
