Panja
- Dualboot Problems - I'm running XP + OSX. After installing the second OS I cant get OSX running properly. I reinstalled several times but still I get problems with the bootmenu. Copied Chain0 to the partition and editted the boot.ini file. I do get a dualboot menu but when pressing the second option (os x86) I get a blackscreen for like 1 - 2 secs and it returns to the bootmenu again... Anyone an idea? Or does anyone have a good step by step guide to get dualboot working with another bootloader? murcielago585
Install Acronis OS Selector Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9436-dualboot-problems/#findComment-58824 Share on other sites
Panja
I tried that one too. But the boot menu is {censored} if I may say so. Plus, thats the main problem, it works 1 time and than it keeps updating processes and just crashes (while booting). Bootmagic would be good but its not freeware so I cant install it on my work related laptop... osl2000 is something to try! [edit] Just checked OSL2000. Application is working but when booting OS x86 I'm getting this error: HFS+ partition error Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9436-dualboot-problems/#findComment-58830 Share on other sites

R. Bear Helms
I also have another procedure, but if you can get a boot manager to work for you, that's better than this: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...270entry60270 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9436-dualboot-problems/#findComment-60274 Share on other sites
