Dave1554353i
Hi, i have downloaded iATKOS 1.0i and Kalway 10.5.1, kalway doesnt boot into the cd at all and iATKOS does and it installs but when it comes to boot it just keeps restarting when i take out the leopard iATKOS disk it comes up "MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM" or HFS+ error. i know it is because i have an AMD Processor, but i have tried everywhere looking for a solution, i downloaded the AMD test ppf but all i could do is patch the disk, i dont know how to do the post installation part im a complete noob at this, at the top of the webpage i noticed after trying twice it said that this guide prosumes i am doing this in a mac. Well the problem is i dont have a mac and i dont have a working mac osx86 on the pc because i cant get an AMD patch. so is this a lost cause then, can i not get this mac installation working without a mac or downloading any more mac iso's my processor is: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ so my real question is can i patch it to use with an AMd processor without a mac because if the only option of me getting this to work is to go out and buy a mac it kinda defeats the object of getting a mac working on the pc. EDIT: i have now got iATKOS 1.0i r2 but now it wont even load up the installation screen, i press -v to find out why it just stops dead and it just stops doing anything when it says, "Jettisoning Kernel Linker" after that the disk stops being read and the computer stops everything, it doesnt restart it just sits there doing nothing. Any clue on how to fix this, i heard that the iATKOS r2 was compatible with AMD so i gave it a try and its no go so far, any clues? komeet
Why do you want to use iAtkos? There is another compilation called Zephyroth 10.5.2 and it is exclusively for AMD processors. So no patching necessary. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93960-cannot-boot-in-amd-and-problem-with-patching/#findComment-669867 Share on other sites
Gipo
Yes... find and download Zephyrot rev2 or Leo4all releases... they are both ok for Amd. Then it's better if you post something more on your system... (and if you write it in your signature it's quite better..)
