You'll have to replace the Apple SMBIOS kext file to have your system reporting correctly. Mac.Nub's version seems to work pretty well. Just pick the one that corresponds to your ram:

About This Mac will still report it as "2.4ghz Unknown Processor" after you use it. You can modify the name by following these instructions (this is a cosmetic changes only, it won't affect your performance in the least):

Yes. Actually it doesn't matter what system profiler says. It's just cosmetic and doesn't influence the system in any way. So don't worry.

 

EDIT: I forgot to mention that some programs check these values to decide if they can run on this system or not. But in your case I think you can disregard it.

Ok, great. I don't care about cosmetics on what OS X "thinks" it has.

 

Like on my Cache thing, it says I have 0KB instruction cache.. If this was true, I think OS X would have taken ages to boot, if at all.

 

I'll let it be then. Better to let it run that to accidentally screw it up.
