UnaClocker Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Downloaded the Kalyway combo pack from The Bay.. As well as the kernel update (was linked to from the comments section of the combo pack). Downloaded them both, applied the combo pack and rebooted. Seemed to freeze with the spinning icon on the grey apple bootup screen. Rebooted, gave it a -v -f -x and after a bit of time, it booted up into safe mode.. Didn't expect to be in safe mode, thought that was -s.. Figured since I was here, I might as well apply the kernel update. Did that, rebooted again. Poof, I'm up and running. I used the SSE3 kernel, rather than vanilla. Sounded like it was more compatible/less scary. Downloading a bunch of updates from Apple right now (just installed iLife as well, so it's terribly out of date). Thanks for the great hacks, everyone.
