Mechmess Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I recently "recieved my develpoers disk" and am trying to install it on my laptop. I already got it to run on my AMD system with no problems, it booted and installed without a hitch (i am using the 10.4.3 DVD with JaS patches). However everytime i put in the DVD after i choose what way i would like to boot(i have tried safe mode, single user mode, and a few differernt screen resolutions) the disk stops spinning when it recognises my synatptics touchpad. I tried turning the touchpad off in the bios but no luck. Severnya Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I have a similar problem - only mine halts at an ACPI line. I don't get a kernel panic or anything - the disc stops, end of story. I have to hold power down for 4secs - the only option.
