hey ive been reading around the forumn and stuff and all this kalyway, video card compatibility, has been really confusing me

i was just wondering which DVD installation i should get and i believe i read somehwere that my onboard video card would not be compatible? would that mean my monitor would not even get a signal after i install or would my resolution just be off? (giving me time to buy the right video, and if any, what would you reccomend?)

thanks

  • 4 weeks later...

I have a similar setup.

Mines the Quad core Q6600, 4 Gig Ram, HD 2600 XT Graphics, 500 Gig HDD, on board lan and sound.

I can get Kalyway 10.5.1 installed but booting up is not working.

I get the Apple Mac symbol with the loading animated circle.

Dont know where to go from here.

Bit gutted but I will continue to monitor the scene and see if anyone else has any joy.
