homers Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 Hi I have mac os x 10.5.1 kalyway. Usually to boot it my hard drive with mac os needs to be connected on channel 1 SATA and the computer needs to boot from DVD and when the counter reaches 0 it boots osx. This time when that happens it gets past the DVD booting section but never comes of the Apple boot screen (white with apple in the middle) . It started happenning when I set my partition to active using fdisk in the install DVD in an effort to try and get the hard drive to boot without the DVD but it seems to have failed miserably.
