Well, I was typing a Biology project (pretty long, too) in Microsoft Word. Lets just say this is one of those times where you just gotta love some of the newer program features of office 2007. Autosave, to be specific. (Was autosave in 2003/2004?). I finished, and I was messing around with No-CD patching when all of a sudden BAM! Windows locked up due to a graphics issue in which my cooler is broken (Thermaltake Tide Water [all in one VGA water cooler] on the way to my house as we speak). Well my my evening is very very happy there's autosave because I was an idiot and didn't save my work. Believe it or not, Thanks MS. :(

Now, if only Satan had Autosave:

Jesus and Satan have an argument as to who is the better programmer. This goes on for a few hours until they agree to hold a contest with God as the judge.

They set themselves before their computers and begin. They type furiously for several hours, lines of code streaming up the screen.

Seconds before the end, a bolt of lightning struck taking out the electricity. Moments later, the power is restored, and God announces that the contest is over. He asks Satan to show what he has come up with.

Satan is visibly upset, and cries, "I have nothing! I lost it all when the power went out."

"Very well, then," says God, "let us see if Jesus fared any better."

Jesus enters a command, and the screen comes to life in vivid display, the voices of an angelic choir pour forth from the speakers.

Satan is astonished. He stutters, "But how?! I lost everything, yet

Jesus' program is intact! How did he do it?!"

God chuckles, "Jesus saves."

Your little story reminded me of this joke. So remember kidz, Autosave is your friend! :(

There's been autosave since 98 I think. I have office 07 and I think it's great. It does freeze every now and agin but otherwise, pretty good.

I have an even sillier story. I used to have RAID5 and to prove my friend wrong over argument

I unplugged one of the 3 raid disks while the pc was still running. Needless to say, it crashed and i had to erase my bios config and thus the raid config with it  and so I lost pretty much everything.

Plus my backup disk had kicked it by that point.

I had literally six times as much to do tonight, and holy {censored} I didn't need autosave once. It's the longest I've ever run this particular Windows install without a crash. No new gfx cooler yet though. It's slated to come next wednesday :hysterical:
