Ok so im desperatly trying to have leopard on my laptops hdd (iv been using leo on an external hdd for awhile now not so practical)

I have installed EXCACTLY the same way as on the USB hdd and for some reason I dont get USB 2.0 suport? when I Do if i boot from the USB hdd installation...

its a nightmare.. my mouse works but i cant use USB pendrives... very annoying.., this is only happening in iaktos versions.. I would use kaly but the shutdown does not work... and that can be fatal for a laptop user.. (put in bag thinking its off... then frieeed)

can anyone help me out please? I have also tried updating to 10.5.2 which was succesful but this didnt solve my USB problems...

if no go on fixing USB can anyone help on getting kaly to shutdown properly.. (i have one way.. which is to get rid of the appleacpiplatform.kext but then I loose sound... :D )

edit : if im quick enough just before the os starts to boot if i place the USB pen drive in it will show up when the GUI shows up

Hey urgonah8me,

I posted this reply on your other post re: "cpus=1" as well.

You should try disabling Legacy USB support in the bios. I had the same problem with usb 2.0 devices; and after I disabled legacy, everything worked.

Give it a shot! It might just work.

:)

Hmmmm...gotta think about that one.

I also had this issue with 10.4.8 (Jas); and I resolved it by downloading an updated IOUSBFAMILY.kext file of some sort. You can search around here for a link and some info.

Maybe that will help.

Good luck.
