garikfox
Hello all, I'm a total n00b at Mac's, But after reading these forums for 4 mos. I decided to post my results. Motherboard: P5B BIOS 1803 CPU: C2D E6400 @ 2.13Ghz Mem: DDR2-800 4GB Corsair Video/GPU: Diamond ATi HD3850 256MB Audio: ADI1988 <-- Azalia-Out HD-A: LSI-21320-R SCSI RAID Card w/ 2 x 15k 36GB Fujitsu's in RAID 0 --> /Leopard <-- My Main OS HD-B: 80GB WD SATAII drive. For Vista, lol <-- I boot to this by just switching boot order in BIOS. DVD-ROM: 1 x Lite-On SATA el-cheapo, 1 x PATA/IDE Lite-On el-cheapo on Jmicron. --> IDE Mode USB: 1 x Logitech el-cheapo corded laser mousey, 1 x Enermax USB keyboard non-el-cheapo, lol OS X: Kalyway 10.5.1 <-- Installed flawlessly using Non-AHCI Partition type: GUID w/ EFI-GUID After the First initial install and the first boot up, I deleted the "abrev"DSM".kext and made sure the dsmos.kext was there. Then I repaired permissions, Then deleted the .kext cache file. I rebooted. Then I installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 Combo updater. After the 10.5.2 update I installed the Kalyway_kernals pkg. Repaired permissions and rebooted. After the kernal, I installed the new natit.kext from netkas (he's awesome). Then the Leo-graphics Update, Rebooted. Lastly and to get the graphics actually working I installed the *x2000.bundle (white menu fix), Then re-installed the netkas natit.kext using "kext helper b7", Repaired permissions deleted cache extension file and rebooted. I'd like to thank the forum, Kalyway and of course netkas.
