hey everyone,

I'm new here and I've done some reasearch and searched before signing up.

I was just wondering if you think an IBM thinkpad t30 will run leopard.

I have no use for the laptop and so i thought why not try this out.

It's a P4 1.2 or 3 ghz i cant remember... 512mb memory... i can provide more info if needed.

Should i try, or will it most likely be a waste of time?

I have Tiger running on a P4. Never have gotten leopard to work on a p4. However many have. The thinkpad you have is a lot newer then mine. I have a t30 and I have heard a few people have gotten leopard on a t30. I have a newer lenovo 3000 and it also works great in leopard. I would give it a shot. I recommend iatkos and get the newest r2 and r3 update for it. Then install kalyway 10.5.2 combo update and see what happens. Each machine has its own quirks so youl have to test and try and test some more.

I have not gotten tiger or leopard on my t30. However there is a post I saw a few days back of someone doing it. Google insanelymac t30 leopard. It should be possible. If you want to go with tiger get XxX 10.4.11 install disc. that should work nicely.
