I have the following system and I am desperately trying to get OSX installed on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to install OSX on my Samsung 100GB HDD, but so far all i get is "Disk Erased Failed" "Input/Output Error". Help me pls.

Thanks,

Segaphreak

Nice build btw :D

try installing onto a PATA HD for now, its the AppleNForceATA kext on the kalyway dvd. doesn't give proper support for nforce chipset. it gives read but no write for sata hd as i understood it

refer to this thread for the beta kext, work in progress by medevil http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77071

or i suppose u can try injecting that "test" kext that medevil has now into the kalyway image and reburn. if u HAVE to have it installed on the SATA drive now.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I would really prefer to load Kalyway on my SATA drive, but i have a couple of questions regarding that:

1. How do I inject a kext?

2. How do I update my Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD to 10.5.2?

3. Once I do both of these, I'll be able to load it up proper?

Thanks for the help.

xfidelity: I have an MSI P7N diamond too, can you tell me what version of the install you used...iATKOS, iDeneb, Kalyway, etc...and any patching, injecting you needed to do to get it working?

If you point me in the right direction I should be good to go. I did notice your sig details, but you have two computers so not sure which of them the patches apply to.

Thanks,

Colin
