QuietOC Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 With 8GB of DDR2 800 being available for $127 and the ability of Macs to run as Firewire drives, brings me to the idea of making a fairly inexpensive RAM disk. Micro ATX motherboard with Firewire $40 Cheap processor $40 1GB USB Flash memory for the OS free Some ATX power supply or splitter $20 So for ~$225 or so for a rather bulky ~8GB Firewire RAM disk.
