Sav Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Hi, I followed this guide ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=86167 ) to install leoprad from the retail dvd. All seems to work fine, except the firewire ports of my mobo. My system is: Asus p5w dh deluxe intel q6600 geforce gts 8800 640 mb When I attach an external firewire hard disk, the system doesn't recognize it. If I unplug it, the system crash. Any clues? With the retail install the firewire is recognized (I can see it in the network prefernces) but I'm unable to attach any external device. Sav Posted March 9, 2008 Author Share Posted March 9, 2008 It's almost the same system. By the way sleep doesn't work and yesterday I tried my camcorder on the firewire port and now it works. The external hard disk isn't recognized. The same disk on an original imac works perfectly. There jmicron is enabled. Maybe is there a special kext?
