Hi.

Trying to install a clean (original) Leopard 10.5.1 + EFI v8 on that system:

mobo: ASUS P5K-E/WI-FI AP

cpu: core2duo e6750

ram: 4 x 1024 OCZ

hdd: sata2 seagate

dvdrw: pioneer dvr212

I have a GUID hard drive with two partitions: first (called MAC) is for kalyway 10.5.1 + update kalyway 10.5.2

and second (called MAC2) is for original leopard 10.5.1 + efi v8.

first i'am installing EFI v8. then i install (from my kalyway) original leopard 10.5.1 to second partition (MAC2).

copying dsmos.kext to my original leo.

reboot

after that steps i can't boot original leo. just a grey screen with apple logo and thats all...

anyone have some idea how i can boot my original leo ???

Not sure about that board exactly, but I did a similar thing. I had to remove the original AppleEFIRuntime.kext & AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. I then replaced AppleSMBIOS.kext & IONetworkingFamily.kext with hacked versions and that got me past the mDNSResponder bit.

I remove AppleEFIRuntime.kext & AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, replace AppleSMBIOS.kext & IONetworkingFamily.kext... and again the same damn thing :(((

Have you tried replacing AppleACPIPlatform with another one?

Don't forget to repair permissions.
